I find doing a few sun salutations are a great way of warming up and can be used in all sorts of scenarios – just waking the body up in the morning, pre race or as preparation for any activities.

This short video of a “first round” is an adaption of the traditional Sun Salutations that you might do in a yoga class. Subsequent rounds can include more moves progressing in opening and is the basis of many “Yoga Flow” classes.

Flowing from one posture to another is more realistic to movement patterns we do in sport and by slowing things down we also work on core strength, balance and fine motor skills.
